For parents

Why should I send my child to CY?

For young people in today’s world it’s as important as ever to have people you can trust to be a voice of wisdom and guidance in their lives.

CY aims to help young people explore the life, joy and freedom of the Christian faith in a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.

Clovelly Youth has been running since 2013.

What happens?

Every Friday during school term we have dinner at 6pm ($5), we run engaging activities, we hear a talk from the Bible and have a chance to discuss what it means in small groups. We're have supper at 8:30pm ready for you to pick your kids by 9pm at the latest. We run 2 camps through the year to build community and create lifelong memories.

Why Include Year 6?

At the end of term 4 every year we invite kids who are about to commence year 6 the following year to join CY. Here's why...

  1. CY is a community to belong to. It’s a place where new friendships with other high schoolers are formed and old ones maintained. That’s good for their development. But it’s also valuable for this to be established before all the changes occur in their first year at high school.

  2. CY is a safe and welcoming place to talk through issues that matter to young people. We explore how the God of the Bible speaks into their lives, with experienced Christian leaders you can trust.

All our leaders have current Working with Children check numbers and have completed safe ministry training via the Anglican Church.
